October 16, 2019 - Hempfield HS Serving Lunch - I had the privilege of working with an outstanding team yesterday while serving lunch to students at Hempfield High School! I was at Hempfield to celebrate National School Lunch Week.

October 1, 2019 - Chief Harvey – This afternoon I made a brief visit to the Ephrata Borough Police Department to thank Chief William Harvey for his many years of distinguished and honorable service. Chief Harvey is retiring as of October 4, 2019, concluding a career in law enforcement spanning forty-three years. Wishing Chief Harvey and his family well upon a well-earned retirement.

September 9, 2019 - Building Bridges - Inspired by the work the Building Bridges Foundation is doing to serve our veterans at Anderson Farm in Lancaster County!
Building Bridges Foundation At Anderson Farm provides equine-assisted therapy that is delivered in a safe, supportive, and natural environment. Their Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) services address a wide variety of mental health and human development needs and their Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) services focus on education, learning specific skills or gaining new awareness or insights. All therapy is client-centered and all therapy is performed on the ground with the horses. Participants do not need any prior experience with horses.
Earlier today I met with Founder Dave Anderson, CEO Dale Shaw, and Board Member Laura F. Dogger-Dill.
August 27, 2019 - Declaration House Opening - It was a privilege to join folks from all across Northern Lancaster County to celebrate the dedication and official opening of the new Declaration House in Denver.
Declaration House will provide affordable apartments and offer a community service “Hub”. Welsh Mountain Health Centers is opening the Denver Community Health Center to offer medical, dental services, and behavioral health counseling. Congratulations to Rod Redcay and the Denver Community!

The Conrad Weiser Science Research Institute provides students with a focused and challenging research experience in a cutting-edge science laboratory. Alana Halliday - Congratulations to Alana Halliday, winner of the Middle School category of the 2019 "Talk to Your Senator" video contest! Alana will soon finish 8th grade at Landisville Middle School, Hempfield School District. She recently submitted a video highlighting ways to enhance school safety measures in schools across our Commonwealth.
